Excerpt from teaching philosophy
With 15 years of clinical experience as a holistic Chiropractic Physician, specializing in non-invasive, natural treatment of the spine, nervous system, and associated musculature, helping restore the body's healing ability, it has been an honor to serve my patients and I hope to continue for decades to come.
I'm currently licensed in the state of Missouri.
I have over a decade of experience in undergraduate and graduate level health professions education, in the classroom and in leadership positions; and my mission is to always prioritize the needs of my students. I am committed to finding solutions that serve them best.
My current position is Associate Dean of Academic Affairs as well as Assistant Professor.
I have over 20 years of community service experience in volunteering and helping establish, launch, and manage several non-profit organizations.
My current role is President of the Board of the Islamic Society of Greater St. Louis.
I am a detail-oriented and systematic individual who possesses a methodical approach to achieving goals. I am adept at following rules, procedures, and guidelines, and I work efficiently within timelines and deadlines. I remain adaptable and excel in high-pressure situations.
My strength lies in finding rare solutions to complex problems, whether they are logical or abstract. I think beyond the obvious patterns and approach challenges from a unique perspective, making me the embodiment of thinking outside the box. There is no box.
I possess strong interpersonal skills and work well with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
As a leader, I embody both inclusive and servant leadership values. My focus is on prioritizing the needs and perspectives of my team members, while leading with humility and a commitment to serving them. I foster a culture of respect, empathy, and collaboration where every contribution is valued and encouraged. I inspire and empower my team members to grow both personally and professionally by building relationships of trust and support. I lead by example, putting the needs of my team first, and promoting a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive organization
As a healthcare provider, educator, public servant, and father, I am dedicated to making a positive impact on my community, society, and healthcare system. Whether directly as a physician or indirectly through my students, I am committed to strengthening the doctor-patient, student-teacher, and community-health system relationships. I believe trust is the foundation of these relationships, and I strive to build it by ensuring patients have complete confidence in their doctors, students feel assured of their outcomes, and society views healthcare as a right that is accessible, fair, and meaningful.
